Analysis of Dynamic Mechanical Systems Using the Ti-84 plus
Introduction
The dynamics of mechanical systems have many similarities with the dynamics of electric systems.
The most common systems are those with linear movement (mass spring systems) and those with rotational movement (inertia coupled by an axis with stiffness).
Dynamic mechanical systems are common components of mechanical and electrical systems as part of the whole. Therefore, it is important for electrical, mechatronic, and mechanical engineers to gain insight into the behaviour of such systems.
The analysis of dynamic is discussed herein two ways:
- Analysis of the dynamic behaviour by solving the differential equations. (limited to second-order problems)
- Analysis of the dynamic behaviour using Bode diagrams (also suitable for higher order problems)
